On October 26, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the town of Zolote in the Luhansk region, the site of future disengagement of troops. The Head of State met with local residents and military personnel on the frontline. Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked about the living conditions on the line of delimitation, the social needs of civilians and the military. The possible separation of troops was one of the topics of discussions.

The President also met with a group of servicemen who had taken their residence in a private house in the outskirts of Zolote. They intend to remain in the village after the troops have been disengaged.

“Some of our conversations have proved to be quite emotional. But I am ready to continue speaking and looking for mutual understanding. But one cannot end the war with talks alone. It’s important for me to hear Ukrainians who are striving for peace. This is the main thing for me. We must find ways and work to end the war. But not at any cost – I emphasize this,” the Head of State said.

“In any case there will be no capitulation,” – the President went on to say. – “I’m saying this as a President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief. I’m sure we are gonna make it. And Ukraine will be a united country again”.
