Currently people are being evacuated from «flashpoint areas» created as a result of Putin's army's invasion of Ukraine. Ignoring all the «rules of war» and the rules of international humanitarian law, Russian troops continue to launch missile strikes on peaceful cities, bomb civilian infrastructure, and shoot unarmed residents. The invaders are actually besieging Ukrainian cities, and civilians are being held hostage.

On March 9, some people were evacuated from the siege through humanitarian corridors. According to the official speakers of the Ukrainian government, the evacuation of the population from Mariupol, Volnovakha, Izyum, Sumy, Trostyanets and Krasnopil and a number of cities near the capital (Bucha, Borodyanka, Irpen and Gostomel) was announced on March 10.

Currently, the situation in Mariupol is very hard. Since March 3, there has been no electricity, water, heating, no mobile communications, and the invaders are constantly executing fire. The apotheosis of «Russian humanism» was the bombing of a maternity hospital and a general hospital on March 9.

After that, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday at a press conference in Antalya, where talks were held at the level of the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Russia, that the Russian army carried out these strikes deliberately (!!!) because it considers the maternity hospital a military target. He said, there was a base of the «ultra-radical battalion of Azov» there. This is how the Kremlin fascists justify their crimes!

On the morning of March 10, they bombed the city again. According to local authorities as on March 9, 1,300 people have been killed In Mariupol since the beginning of the Russian attack on Ukraine (February 24, 2022).

Putin's troops are planning to starve the city. On March 6 and 8, Russian invaders thwarted the evacuation of civilians from Mariupol: when, after some arrangements about evacuation of Mariupol, a single route had been opened, the enemy began attacking in the direction of the humanitarian corridor, trying to break into the defending city.

Then, in the interval between the rounds of talks, which took place on March 6-7 at the level of Ukrainian and Russian delegations, information was received from official sources, that the Russian side is currently refusing to organize «green routes» from occupied and surrounded residential areas. They said that Putin's personal instruction is not to give way on any humanitarian corridors yet. After a while, this situation has changed as for the suburbs of cities of Kyiv and Sumy, and as for Energodar (the town around a nuclear plant). But as for Mariupol it seems, the city remains on the Kremlin's «black list.»

According to the President's Office, on Thursday morning buses for the evacuation of Mariupol residents and a convoy of humanitarian aid left Zaporizhia. But they did not manage to reach their destination. The occupiers continue to siege the city for the sixth day off the reel, they do not allow in the  loads of food, water and medicine, which are critical for more than 400,000 people under siege.

According to insider information, the Russian «deliverers» are devastating grocery stores in the suburbs of Mariupol. As judged by the the systematic nature of the aggressor’s actions, they create the humanitarian catastrophe in this city intentionally and also consciously. Putin is taking revenge on Mariupol for holding on and enduring the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war. It is possible that the Kremlin hopes to convince the world of its «peacekeeping mission» in Ukraine - to weaken the city by siege and air strikes, to create a humanitarian collapse, and then to «liberate» and «save» the population.

In the siege by the Russian army, Ukrainian children and the senior citizens are already dying from dehydration and shortage of medication. Mariupol needs urgent help of the civilized world!
