I work as administrator in the veterinary clinic in Kyiv.

The administrator in such a structure is the face of the clinic for the clients; we are recognized by our voices on the phone; we are the first to say hello to people and tell them goodbye when they leave. We are the cashiers, accountants, organizers of doctors’ work. And we also should act as psychologists as well − at least, a little.

Our clinic has been working since the last decade of March. I managed to make it to the office on April 10.

And you know what? It was much easier for me to work when there was more physical danger than it is now. What’s more, sometimes I really envy the cashiers in grocery stores. They almost have no chance to talk to the clients (because of the specifics of production process). And I’m an emphatic person.

We see more and more eyes that grieve and cry. Refugees from other towns of Ukraine come more and more often because they have no home to return to. Some people lost their loved ones who died protecting us… You can tell them from the others instantly: they seem bloodless. They live and yet, it seems someone turned off the light in their hearts.

I feel their pain. I am holding well while at work, trying not to absorb it all; I bring people some napkins, trying to comfort them, but then… It piles up, it never disappears. All of this pain, which was (and was not) voiced out, the fear of uncertainty, the grief of irrecoverable loss…

I do not write this for you all to come and comfort me (yup, that’s what you do, I know). I just need to blow off some steam, to remember this condition and share it with you. We should not forget this in 10, 20, 30, 50, 100 years! Let’s keep the emotional memory of how much pain the bastards from Muscovy brought us!

They must be destroyed. Physically, economically, historically − in every way! Because they… they are not people. They will never understand these men who care about the little mice.

(That screenshot put a smile on my face, but it was a smile through the tears…)

Stand tall, brothers and sisters! We will prevail because life and truth always prevail! Support each other because we’re strong when we stand united!

I know and I believe that Ukraine will win!

Photos belong to the open sources in social networks. The first screenshot tells a story of Ukrainian military men who dug trenches and accidentally destroyed a mouse mink. They found two mouse cubs (see the second photo) and let them lay on the grass. Soon, their mom came and took the cubs away.
