Over the last two days, children in Mariupol, Irpin, Markhakivka village (Kyiv region) became victims of the barbarians.

On March 4, Russian aircraft bombed the houses of peaceful residents in Markhalivka. Six people deceased, one of them was a child. On the same day, six-year-old Kyrylo deceased in Mariupol. His parents brought the child to a hospital, but the boy’s life could not be saved.

People died during the bombardment of Korosten, Zhytomyr region, northern Ukraine. A three-year-old boy lost his leg, the doctors are fighting for his life.

On March 6, 2022, Russian servicemen opened fire on civilians who tried to leave the practically destroyed town of Irpin. Three people, including two children were killed.
In Lysychansk, Russians attacked a kindergarten - clearly an “important military object”.

Armed Forces of the Russian Federation landed a missile strike on Okhmatdyt, Ukraine’s largest hospital for minors. The 8th floor of the central building was damaged. The little patients, their parents and doctors saved their lives only because they reached the shelter upon hearing the air raid siren.

It’s obvious that the occupants shoot at peaceful residents of Ukrainian cities and villages deliberately, on purpose, in order to cause even more destruction and human suffering. Russian forces take a massive part in these crimes against humanity on the territory of Ukraine.

The military captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine try to make some distance from the barbarian methods of waging war, in order to avoid responsibility and punishment. At that, they say they witnessed how their comrades opened fire from tanks and multiple launch rocket systems on light-duty vehicles with civilians in them - and on residential houses.

When in captivity, these military men cannot explain why would they arm themselves and cross the Ukrainian border, or why would they kill civilians. Private 1st Class of Russia’s Armed Forces Nikita Ponomarev (his battalion commander’s last name is Osokin) says they were sent to the hostile territory and left alone like blind kittens. “I have no motive here at all. I don’t know why this war would happen. They feed us well. I see no oppression against Russophones here”, the captive says.

“Don’t think I’m your enemy. I treat the Ukrainians with love”, the other serviceman says. Calling his mom, he cries: “Mom, get me out of here”.

Commander of the 1st reconnaissance platoon of the Russian army Pavel Linchevsky says that his detachment was supposed to reach the suburbs of Kyiv quickly, without any contact. His parents and wife don’t know he is at war on the territory of a sovereign state, killing its citizens. “If I refused to fight, I’d face 25 years in jail for high treason”.

Among the reasons why they would fight Ukrainians, his comrade points out that he was afraid to be fired. “If I don’t go, I’ll lose my job and don’t make any money”. He added that before invading Ukraine, they are brainwashed. “They tell us about fighting some fascists. They tell us all the time that there are Ukrainian fascists here in Ukraine”.

None of the POWs saw the Ukrainian fascists. Ukrainians, on the other hand, saw Russian fascists who destroy entire cities, drop bombs on houses of civilians, shoot children and elderly people. They see them a lot - for eleven days in a row.
