Today, Lviv region was hit by missiles, which, according to preliminary information, were launched by Russian planes from Saratov. As a consequence, the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security in Starychi village of Yavoriv district (better known as Yavoriv military training ground) was damaged. This was announced at the briefing by the head of the Lviv Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi.

"According to the preliminary data, more than 30 missiles were launched. The air defense system worked, and a number of missiles were shot down. 57 people are injured and are in hospitals. 9 heroes died. This is confirmed data at the moment. The fire is being extinguished, "said the head of the Lviv RSA"

"Currently, there are about 25 points of impact, which have already been inspected by the military and the SES. Not only the military are in hospital, but the strike was clearly on military facilities," said Maksym Kozytsky

He also added that it was a cruise missile fired from an aircraft – an air-to-ground missile.

After the Russian attack on the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security (Yavoriv training ground) the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov called on NATO to immediately close the sky over Ukraine.

"Russia has attacked the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security near Lviv. Foreign instructors work here. This is a new terrorist attck on peace and security near EU-NATO borders. Measures must be taken to stop it. Close the sky" - wrote Reznikov on his Twitter account.
