The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) identified eight russian occupants who set a torture chamber for peaceful Ukrainians in Motyzhyn village, Bucha district in Kyiv region. Over a month of occupation, russists killed more than 30 local residents in it. The family of rural head Olha Sukhenko is among the deceased. The lady who took care of her fellow citizens, evacuated them from dangerous area and distributed medicines and food, her husband Ihor and son Oleksandr were captured by invaders and kicked out of their house on March 23. On March 3, the entire family was found in the mass grave in the wood outside the village, with traces of brutal tortures on their bodies. The SBU claims that the executioners tried to get the information about positions of the Ukrainian army and territorial defense fighters from these people; they shot the woman’s son in the leg in front of her, and when they failed to get the information, they killed him with a headshot. Olha Sukhenko’s husband was tortured, too. The hostages had their limbs broken, their nails torn out, and their skulls crushed. They also had multiple gunshot wounds, too. Sukhenkos and one more man were buried next to the bunker, where the russists set that torture chamber.

Another body of an executed lady was found nearby. Her name was Yaroslava; she was a Kyivite who came to Motyzhyn to stay with her family while saving herself from bombardments of the capital city.  When russian armored vehicles started entering the village, everyone who tried to leave it was shot dead. Yaroslava was killed by a sniper. Later, russists told her father whom they captured and held tied, without any food or water that they shot her because she wore black clothes and tried to escape.

Resident of the village Petro Kotsuba tells the story of a local 17-year-old girl who was raped by seven russists. «After that, they tossed her in a well», he said. Besides, the «liberators» captured two volunteers who delivered humanitarian aid for Motyzhyn residents. The occupants interrogated and tortured them, and then, they took the hostages to the woods and ordered them to run away, shooting at them. One of the volunteers deceased due to the headshot, and the other one was severely wounded. The occupants took their cars and humanitarian assistance. The local authorities confirmed the death of two members of NGO «Patriot». The investigation team found out that these people were tortured, and after their death, russists shot their dead bodies», the SBU reports. Mocking another resident of the village, russists tied his hands, tied him to the quad and forced him to run after it. After interrogations and repeated beating, they held him in a sewer pit for several days.
