According to Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova, as of April 10, search and rescue crews who worked in the liberated towns and villages of Kyiv region found 1,222 bodies of Ukrainian civilians. These people were tortured and executed. One of these more than a thousand human tragedies is the tragic story of a young family from Bohdanivka village. They lived happily in a new two-story house, they hand their own business and brought up a three-year-old son.

The very life and dreams of these people were instantly devastated by drunken russian occupants – they shot a man who tried to protect his wife, and killed the dog. The invaders raped the woman threatening to hurt her three-year-old son. The lady barely managed to escape.

Law enforcers documented the crime. «The lady who suffered is now in one of the western regions of Ukraine», says Andriy Nebytov, the police chief of Kyiv region, as he stands amidst the ruined yard. «She wrote the respective appeal. We notified the culprits about the suspicion. One of the criminals is already identified. This is some Romanov guy. There’s information in social networks saying that the occupant involved in the murder and rape is already dead». According to the law enforcer, if the occupant is still alive, he will be internationally wanted and brought to criminal responsibility.

Retreating during the offensive of Ukraine’s Armed Forces in Bohdanivka, the occupants burned down the house of the devastated family; the building, once marvelous, has now only its walls left intact. There is no roof, no windows or doors. The wind lonely howls in the fireplace. Yellow pine needles fall from burned pine trees. A burned light-duty car, a bicycle and scattered toys remained in the yard. When Russian murderers escaped, the neighbors buried the house owner and put a cross on an improvised grave. After the respective expertise is over, he will be re-buried humanely, with due procedures. Having inspected the body, law enforcers confirmed that russians took the wedding ring from the man’s finger, which became obvious thanks to the brighter mark on a tan hand.

Other stories of Ukrainians who lost their lives due to the atrocities of russian occupants are just as tragic. In the village of Moshchun, Kyiv region, invaders tortured an old man. According to Kyiv Operatyvnyi, he was tied to a tree and beaten up to death. In Hostomel, 11 bodies of civilians were found shot by russian snipers.

The roadway to Makariv, the town in Kyiv region resembles scenes from a scariest horror movie. There were positions of russians who opened fire and burned cars of civilians who tried to make it to a safe zone. Burned or squashed bodies of drivers and passengers were found in every car. A russian tank moved over one of the cars with people inside. In Makariv itself, search and rescue crews found 132 executed civilians, and the town itself is destroyed by 40 percent. Law enforcers mention that murders, rape cases, tortures and destruction are observed in all settlements of Kyiv region that were occupied by the russian army.

On April 8, another crime of russian soldiers became publicly known. The bastards tortured 79-year-old Yevhen Bal, the 1st Rank Captain, writer and reporter. He lived not far from Mariupol. When the occupants found a photo with Ukrainian Marines in his house, they took him to a torture chamber in Mangush (Zaporizhya region) and bullied him for several days in a row. He was barely alive when they released him. Yevhen Bal had just enough time to tell his friends what happened to him. Next day, he deceased because of the severe beating.
