Biography

After graduating in sculpture, she’s Professor of illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice (Italy). She has designed for many periodicals such as Diario, Corriere della Sera, L’Antitempo and Il Fatto Quotidiano. Recent collaborations are those for the weekly Left, the French magazines Espoir, Zélium and SinéMadame. Online, with many media like Buduàr, Erbacce, Supapo, Pagina21, etc. In times of seclusion from Covid-19 she collaborates with Quarantine Dreams and Pandemikon. From 15 September 2020, she starts the editorial collaboration with the italian newspaper Domani. Many international awards received for her graphic and editorial activity. Among them: the First Prize at the World Press Freedom Cartoon, Ottawa, 2011, the Prize Forte dei Marmi per la Satira politica for Satirical Cartoon, 2013, and the International Press Prize at 35th Salon International Caricature, Dessin de presse et Humour, St-Just-le-Martel, 2016. In 2018, in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, she’s the first woman to win the World Press Cartoon. With a drawing about freedom of expression, she received the First Prize in the Editorial Design section and, above all, the absolute Grand Prize. In 2021, again she’s the first woman during the 40 years of the competition, she was awarded the First Prize at the 23rd Edition of Euro-kartoenale, in Kruishouten, Belgium. The last prize awarded is the First Prize at the 22th World Press Freedom International Editorial Cartoon Competition, 2022, Canada. She is a member of Cartooning for Peace, United Sketches, France Cartoon and The Cartoon Movement. She’s also a member of Scientific Council of Librexpression/Libex.
